Sick Home

Today I to stay in the apartment because you'll never guess. I managed to be the first one to get sick. You'll never guess how! Yup, food. I ate a gringa which is an authentic Mexican food pictured below:

Kinda ironic eating a gringa since I am a gringa. But excuse me while I go throw up.

Exploration

Do not have too much time to write long captions or anything but here are some pictures of the City That we live in Hidalgo, Pachuca:
Ps. I'm still trying to learn how to learn all the spanish words and buttons on blogger so if anything looks funny, thats probably why...

 Everything is just really colorful!
Above is the Mormon church well be attending^
 And some nice street art^
Also me looking touristy and out of place by some street art^
Farmers market^
Modeling tip: Probably always pose by pork rinds because it obviously makes a great photo.

AND last but not least, here is the primary school we will be teaching at, its half indoor half outdoor. And its everything you would imagine an adorable, colorful, authentic mexican kindergarten school would be. Hopefully I will have pics of the inside soon!!

Pilot

I created this blog because multiple people asked if I could keep them updated, however thats not entirely feasible so this is a place where everyone can read my thoughts and experiences. That is, if you're interested. You may be wondering what there is to be updated on. For those of you who don't know, I am in Pachuca, Mexico teaching english to children for the next 4 months. However I have not yet done much worth posting, as this is my second day here. But heres a little big about what happened my first day (yesterday.)

I started out the day late to the airport, but still had time to snap this picture of the sunrise. Its amazing how you can wake up one person and by the night you feel as if you are a completely different person.

This picture is slightly blurry due to the fact that theres this obnoxious window in the way. But this is above the mountains in Utah.

And here is a picture of our front yard in our apartment. Also, more obnoxious windows blocking it.

When we arrived at the airport, the principal of the elementary school (his name is Guillermo) picked us all up in his camioneta, and we started to drive to pachuca. Everything is obviously different here, especially mexico city. The mountains look like mosaics because of all the tiny colorful houses scattered across it.. We stopped at a gas station eventually to get some food and there happened to be a work site next door and when us American girls get out of the van, the men all stop their work and group up to stare at us. This has become pretty normal though since we are the only Americans in the city.
